Importing existing data

During the setup / migration part of the project, old data stored on previous systems may exist. Redcrest Solutions offers some default format as "standard format" for the import. The data must be curated by the customer, prior to the import. Any additional work may be charged per hour of effective additional work.

The import shall first be performed on the test system, and after careful review will be run on the productive system. Afterward, it may be difficult to remove / change the data. As previously stated any additional work may be charged per hour of effective work.

Members

• Use the template default_member_template.xlsx
• If an Id is provided in the first column, it must be at least start from 8, smaller numbers will not be accepted.
• If an Id is provided the Id will be kept to identify a member.
• Any number of additional columns can be provided, however the format of the column name must be "\ - \"
• Birthday date must be entered as date (and Excel must recognize it as a date)
• Roles, MemberOf, Aircraft Categories fields must be semi-colon separated with the appropriate Id

Aircraft Movements

• Must follow EXACTLY the FOCA movement table format
• The first row must contain ALL the fields as in the example table found in "Admin" => "Movements" => "Import movements"
• Copy the zone from your spreadsheet and paste it in the field
• Press the "Plain import" button

Aircraft Logs

• Use the template default_aircraft_log_template.xlsx
• The appropriate Ids for the aircraft, members, flight activity type and instructors must be used
• Time counters are in format "HHHHH:MM"
• Only the departure time is provided, the arrival time is calculated based on the time counter
• Times are effective flight time as it's an aircraft log not a pilot log

Additional setup areas

In many additional setup areas it's possible to import directly data from a spreadsheet into Flying Fleet using the appropriate import button.
